Until Silence

"Until Silence" is an autobiographical short film based on one of my dreams. It eventually turned out to be the perfect opportunity for me to engage in multiple tasks at once - including writing, directing, editing, color grading and researching the subject.

My intention when making this film was to create something surreal, which would have a mysterious and slightly uncomfortable feeling. This idea was supposed to provide an opportunity for viewers to find all the pieces of the puzzle independently. As part of the research phase, I studied the works such as "Mulholland Drive," "28 Days Later" and "Apocalypse Now" to analyze the structure, editing, colors and symbolism of those films. In that way, it allowed me to make conscious decisions during the post-production process.

This is the very first cut of the film and definitely not its final version. Editing, color grading, and sound mixing are still pending and should improve the video quality overall. Nonetheless, making this film provided me with a chance to explore further the potential of researching within the filmmaking process and increased my confidence while producing the video, leading the team and being creative in difficult situations.
